Description

The Vaucluse is a diverse and characterful wine region in the south of France, situated in the heart of Provence and on the edge of the southern Rhône Valley. Although not officially a big-name appellation like Châteauneuf-du-Pape or Gigondas, Vaucluse is a dynamic region that produces many interesting wines, often with excellent value for money.

The 2014 Domaine des Tours Vin de Pays de Vaucluse Rouge is a red wine from the Vaucluse region in the southern Rhône Valley, produced by Domaine des Tours, under the direction of renowned winemaker Emmanuel Reynaud. Reynaud is also the owner of the prestigious Château Rayas in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

This wine is a blend of several grape varieties, including Grenache, Counoise, Syrah, Cinsault, Merlo. The grapes are grown on clay-limestone, sandy and pebbled soils. The vines are managed with care, with an emphasis on achieving optimum ripeness at harvest.
Nose: Aromas of fresh red fruits.
Taste: Fine and smooth, with soft tannins and a round structure. Notes of red fruits and spices, with a hint of black pepper. The finish is long and pleasant.
