Fougeray de Beauclair is located in the northernmost village of the Côte d'Or, part of the renowned Fixin appellation. This Fixin appellation covers approximately 100 hectares of vineyards and lies just north of Gevrey-Chambertin, producing only top-quality wines. Wine production on this 18-hectare estate is overseen by Patrice Ollivier, originally from Provence, and his wife, Laurence Fougeray. Domaine Fougeray de Beauclair is one of the renowned estates in the small Fixin appellation. The Village en Côte de Nuits Blanc is a very well-balanced, top-quality white Burgundy with beautiful aromas of citrus, white flowers, and the typical minerality of Fougeray. This delightful white Burgundy has a lovely acidity that is perfectly balanced with the fruit.

It was his grandfather, Louis, one of the progenitors of Marsannay Rosé, who passed on his love of wine to Jean Louis Fougeray in 1952. In 1978, the estate was founded through the purchase and lease of vineyards in prestigious Burgundian appellations of the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune: Bonnes Mares Grand Cru, Clos Marion, Les "Saint Jacques", Vosne Romanée, Gevrey Chambertin, and Puligny Montrachet. Today, Patrice and Laurence Ollivier manage the estate and its 15 hectares of vineyards. They make it a point to produce quality wines, allowing the various appellations to quickly position themselves among the greatest Burgundian estates. This family business has made its organization a major asset, supported by a close-knit and competent team, which contributes to a family atmosphere.

The wines are now represented on four continents. Of these twenty-three different crus in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune regions, Patrice has decided to eliminate the use of artificial fertilizers to guarantee the freshness and authenticity of these products. Harvesting is done manually, and the grapes are carefully selected and sorted to guarantee high-quality wines.
