Description
The origins of RedHeads Wines and its location in South Australia
RedHeads Wines was founded in 2002 by a group of passionate winemakers who wanted to make small-scale productions with top-quality grapes. The winery started as an experimental cellar in McLaren Vale and is now based in the Barossa Valley. RedHeads is known for its independent approach, sustainable working methods and collaboration with small-scale growers.
The Blue Belle Graciano comes from South Australia, where the climate is warm, but under the influence of sea breezes and cool nights still gives balance to the wines. The soils consist mainly of sand, clay and limestone, which fits well with the Graciano grape that requires structure and acidity for optimal ripening.
The Blue Belle Graciano is a version that is only made in the absolute top years and in the other years the Graciano grapes are used in the blends of RedHeads Studio . The vineyard and the quality of the grapes were too good to lose in a larger blend, so it got its own place in the range. The fruit comes from One Tree Hill of the Rocca Family. This grower supplies a large part of the Italian varieties for Redheads. The Roccat vineyards are located on the same mountain range as the famous Magill vineyards of Penfolds . Penfolds itself buys the fruit from here, so that confirmed that the region grows top quality fruit. The Graciano grapes are fermented in small open top fermenters and dipped by hand. Maturation for 12 months in French and American oak. The wine matured in the bottle for 12 months before being released.
The Redheads Blue Belle Graciano is a fruit driven wine full of juicy fruit flavours of blueberries and aromas of violets with a hint of spicy oak. The wine is rich in colour and full of flavour, great on its own or perfect to pair with a spiced lamb and of course perfect for the Green Egg barbecue.

Wine and food pairings with RedHeads Blue Belle Graciano
The Graciano from RedHeads is powerful and aromatic, but retains elegance and freshness. This makes it very suitable for a variety of dishes. Here are some recommendations:
- Grilled entrecote with rosemary and black garlic puree: The juicy, meaty character of the entrecote matches the structure of the wine, while the herbs accentuate the spicy notes.
- Roasted aubergine with pomegranate, mint and tahini: The roasted vegetables and spicy freshness complement the fruity and mineral character of the wine.
- Lamb meatballs with tomato and cumin: The spicy profile of the meat enhances the savory and earthy elements of the Graciano.
- Ravioli with mushroom filling, sage and beurre noisette: The earthy notes of the filling blend harmoniously with the complexity of the wine.
- Venison loin fillet with cassis jus and roasted root vegetables: The intensity of the game and the sweet and sour sauce support the dark fruit and spiciness of the wine.

Wijnhuis
Redheads Studio winery is located in South Australia in the town of Tanuda, in the Barossa Valley where the dedicated team behind Redheads work tirelessly, from the vine to the bottle and beyond, to ensure the wines can always be in their best condition drunk.
It all started with a few Aussie winemakers who went to France to show the 'old hands' some new tricks there. Australian wine had conquered the world in the 1970s and 1980s. That's why Tony Laithwaite brought some Aussies to France. It was there that the very beginning of RedHead's new viticultural movement was laid.
In a small shed in McLaren Vale, a former Indian restaurant, some winemakers took on the challenge of making their dream come true: making beautiful, creative wines in small volumes with primary focus on quality.
They wanted to make wines without being bothered by all kinds of business worries, which resulted in an explosion of creativity and experiments.
Meanwhile, winery Redheads is making great international progress and they still give young talents the opportunity to let their creativity and talents loose on the best grapes in the region. Redheads Wines says of itself: “A free-spirited, movement liberating the best grapes from the premium labels to make wines with soul, character and personality”
