The Fundamental Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 is a beautiful, elegant, mineral-driven Cabernet Sauvignon - reminiscent of Bordeaux. This wine is the result of the impressive wine project of Joey Tensley and his wife Jennifer Tensley, owners of the famous Tensley Wines label. After fifteen years of traveling and tasting in the world's leading wine regions, they have used their expertise to create high-quality wines that always reflect the vineyard.

In 2017, Joey launched “Fundamental Wines”. The name was chosen because he felt it perfectly reflected the brand's philosophy: making fundamentally sound, straightforward wines that deliver too much for the price at every level. From day one, Joey has remained true to his philosophy: making quality wine that is well priced and always: “get out of the way and let the vineyard speak for itself.”

Winemaker Notes: "This wine is sourced equally from Paso Robles and Santa Barbara County, bringing the best each region has to offer to the bottle. The climate and clay soils of Paso Robles bring amazing power, color, earth notes, black currants, bacon and dry, rich tannins to the table, while the Santa Barbara County fruit, having grown in a cooler climate with sandier soils, keeps the wine fresh and balanced, with pretty notes of plum and cherry while the quality of this wine could hold its own in any price category, it's sure to rival any Cabernet at this price point."
