Description

Since the takeover in 1995 by the Dutch businessman Eric Albada Jelgersma, Chateau Giscours with its fantastic terroir is back in full force. The estate covers over 80 hectares of vineyards and produces a very reliable but above all classic Margaux with a lot of depth. The 2021 Giscours is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. It is a medium to full-bodied wine with beautiful notes of espresso, red fruit, (cherry, raspberry) liquorice, leather and has a very refined scent of flowers and fruit with a non-overpowering but nicely present oak tones. In the mouth the wine is round, juicy and can be drunk now but can also be stored for another 30 years.
