Exclusive white wine from Napa Valley with finesse and complexity based on Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
Continuum Estate is a leading Napa Valley winery founded in 2005 by Tim Mondavi, son of wine great Robert Mondavi. Nestled on the famed slopes of Pritchard Hill , the estate produces world-class wines that are born from deep family roots, terroir-focused winemaking, and sustainable agriculture.
The vineyards are located between 400 and 500 metres above sea level, on a subsoil of volcanic rock. The microclimate is characterised by sunny days, cool nights and strong temperature fluctuations, which ensures a slow and balanced ripening of the grapes.
Sentium is Continuum’s white wine line, launched as a complement to the estate’s famous red blends. The 2022 edition is composed of a classic combination of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon , inspired by the white wines of Bordeaux but with a pronounced Napa character.
The grapes are sourced from the cool slopes of Pritchard Hill, with chalky, iron-rich soils that contribute to the minerality and structure. Yields are deliberately kept low to maximise concentration and aromatic expression.
The grapes are harvested by hand in the early morning to preserve freshness. Immediately afterwards, a soft pressing and cold maceration follow. Fermentation takes place partly in oak barrels (including used barriques) and partly in stainless steel, with natural yeasts. After fermentation, the wine is aged “sur lie” for 8 months, with regular bâtonnage for extra creaminess and depth. This approach results in a wine that is both fresh and complex, with structure and a refined texture.
The wine has a clear, light golden colour. The nose reveals refined aromas of lemon peel, lime blossom, green herbs and subtle toast . The influence of Semillon gives the wine roundness and depth. In the mouth, Sentium is tight and mineral, with a lively acidity and layers of citrus, white peach and wet stone. The finish is long, with a subtle saltiness and elegant use of wood. The wine is ideally suited for gastronomic use.

Continuum Estate is located on the Pritchard hills in Vaca Mountains. About 60 miles northeast of San Francisco and about 8 miles southwest of St. Helena. From here you have a beautiful view of Oakland. On a good day you will see the Opus One Winery. And that is no coincidence, the Continuum Estate is a project of the Mondavi family (Tim Mondavi, his sister Marcia and Margrit Mondavi), who acquired two wine estates here in 2005. They merged them and had star architect Howard Becken build a new winery. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the well-known wineries Bryant, Chappellet and Colgin. The route was therefore clear from the start: Super-premium à la Napa Valley. And the conditions are excellent. There is the usual high-end winery, an excellent hillside location, but also the right terroir: volcanic and iron-rich soils.
The winery covers a total of 172 hectares, of which 41 hectares are currently planted with grapes, 60 hectares are planted. There are many olive trees and lush flora. Of course, the cabernet sauvignon (55%) is in the foreground here in Napa Valley, but other Bordeaux grape varieties are also grown, such as the cabernet franc (30%), merlot (4%) and petit verdot (11%). It's almost superfluous to mention that Continuum Estate didn't take much time to join California's high society and yet... that for six years now these blockbusters have received 96 points from Parker is very remarkable.
