Description

De La Riva is a 'brand' with history and reputation in Jerez. Manuel Antonio de la Riva settled in the region at the end of the 19th century . He bought 53 hectares. from pago Macharnudo, one of the legendary vineyards in the region. The De La Riva name remained in the family until the 1970s when Domecq bought the house. Very recently, de la Riva came under the care of Ramiro Ibañez and Willy Pérez, two of the region's most dynamic winemakers. This project fits perfectly in their aim to revive the old traditions of Jerez and give the vineyard/terroir the honor it is due. For the time being, the wines are only available in very small quantities.

An exciting wine from the Jerez region with crisp fruit and fine phenols, honeysuckle, crushed stone and flowers in the nose. Medium body with a chalky and salty undercurrent throughout. Made from the Palomino grape variety from a single plot in the Macharnudo vineyard in the white soils of the region.
