Muscadelle is a white grape variety (cépage) that is mainly found in the vicinity of Bordeaux and the Bergerac, where it also seems to originate. It can also be found in other wine regions, such as Languedoc, Corbières, Côtes de Gascogne and Roussillon.In the Bordelais, muscadelle is blended with sauvignon and sémillon to produce white wines such as pessac-léognan, graves, and the famous wines of the Sauternes and its environs

What does wine from the Muscadelle grape taste like?

Characteristic is the fresh acidity, floral aroma and the light nutmeg touch. The wines are recognizable by the distinct grape aroma in the aroma and taste. The Muscadelle grape is usually used to give sweet wines some extra perfume.
